Cavern Development

Solution mining for cavern development requires specialized operating and maintenance skills to efficiently achieve the desired shape and volume  at minimum risk. Many of our clientele rely upon PB to provide the experienced workforce necessary develop new caverns in bedded and domal salt. 

Brine production requires the same care and control as cavern development leaching not only to meet production demands, but to also ensure that that when fully mined, each cavern is ideally suitable for potential future hydrocarbon storage.

Contract Facility Opns & Mtce

PB performs contract operations and maintenance services for many cavern and pipeline facilities:

• Interstate ethane pipeline system located in the TX-LA gulf coast.
• Texas salt dome gas storage caverns.
• Natural gas transmission pipeline.
• (2) - commercial brine production facilities and associated pipelines located in Louisiana and New York. These cavern facilities produce nearly 40 million barrels of brine annually. 

It is PB's policy to not engage in operations or maintenance activities
that would create competition with our owner-operator clientele.
