| PB Energy Storage Services is wholly owned by Parsons
Brinckerhoff (PB), a century-old firm ranked among the Engineering
News-Record's top 50 U.S. engineering firms.
Originally formed as a joint venture partnership in 1977
between Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) and Kavernen Bau und Betriebs-GmbH (KBB)
the preeminent German subsurface storage and solution mining technology
firm, PB-KBB was incorporated in 1978.
In 1989, PB-KBB gained complementary expertise with the strategic acquisition of Fenix & Scisson, Inc,
a firm renowned since 1950 for development of both solution and hard rock
mined storage caverns.
With the acquisition of Underground Technology
Group (formerly Sofregaz US) in 2001, PB further consolidated it's position of industry leadership.
In 2002, PB-KBB became a wholly-owned subsidiary
of PB and the name was changed to PB Energy Storage Services. |
