Mechanical Integrity Testing
Today's more stringent regulations include testing requirements
to certify that subsurface storage wells and caverns are safe and
tight. PB Energy Storage Services performs government-approved
testing procedures to verify that an underground storage cavern has
the integrity to safely store gas or liquid hydrocarbons,
compressed air or other fluids.
Well Completion and Workovers
PB Energy Storage Services provides drilling
services for storage and disposal wells. Well services
range from feasibility studies and conceptual design and cost
estimating to final design, procurement and supervision of drilling,
completions and workovers.
One typical project included the design, procurement of equipment
and services and drilling of a re-entry well into a Southeastern
Texas LPG storage cavern in order to increase receipt and delivery
rates. A Mississippi project involved cementing of liners into
three LPG storage wells and converting the wells to natural gas
service. Still another job called for re-completing a
Texas brine disposal well after a damaged casing was repaired.
The well was deepened and successfully re-completed to handle rates
in excess of design. |
